Always check that the helicopter company you hire to fly in Spain has the legal rights to operate on a commercial basis. Watch out for many web sites and companies marketing helicopter services without having the required legal licencies. Only 5 companies in Spain have license to operate legally. No matter if it is just a tourist flight, photo, inspection flights , airport transfer, shuttle or taxi flights. As long as you pay for the service , it is a commercial operation that requires a License. If unwaned incidents or accidents should happen, you may most probably not be eligable for any insurance coverage if the helicopter company you pay to fly does not have a license.

MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE OPERATIONAL SPECIFICATION
THE BASE MUST :
BE APPROVED FOR COMMERCIAL OPERATION.
- As a customer you should ALWAYS ask for documentation on all the above requirements before you fly. It does not matter if the pilot has a commercial pilot licens if the other requirements above are missing from the company offering you a quote for a helicopter transport or operation
- It does not matter if the helicopter has all the technical requirements from EASA to fly commercially.
ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE PAYMENT AND INVOICE IS FROM A LICENCED HELICOPTER COMPANY BEFORE YOU PAY.
